Court hears witness statements in ‘Irbid terror cell’ trial

AMMAN — The State Security Court on Monday heard the testimonies of prosecution witnesses in the trial of 21 defendants in the “Irbid terror cell”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The court adjourned the session to next week to hear from other witnesses.
The defendants are accused of committing terrorist acts that caused deaths, using weapons in terrorist acts that led to these deaths, manufacturing explosives to commit terrorist acts and the possession of weapons and ammunition to commit terrorist acts. Other charges include planning to carry out terrorist acts and promoting the ideologies of terror groups.
