AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) on Sunday listened to the testimony of five prosecution witnesses from the General Intelligence Department in the so-called “Hamas case”.
The public hearing was held in the trial of 16 defendants, four of whom are still at large.
The witnesses, who included a chemical expert, said they found material and equipment at some of the suspects’ homes that might have been used to manufacture explosives.
The SSC adjourned the session until April 29, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The defendants are accused of making explosives with the intent to disturb public order and jeopardise the safety of the community.
They are also charged with joining and recruiting persons to join armed groups.
