Corruption cases money to be allocated to anti-graft efforts

AMMAN — The Arab Phoenix Holdings (APH) (formerly Tameer Holding) on Wednesday announced allocating 10-25 per cent of money retrieved from corruption cases in the company between 2006 and 2010 to support anti-graft efforts.

In a statement to the Amman Stock Exchange, APH said that money retrieved from financial violation cases of the company, which are examined at the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) with a value of almost JD200 million, will be transferred to the Treasury, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

APH corruption cases were referred to the JIACC prosecutor general more than a year ago, and investigations are still ongoing without any announcement on procedures so far.
