Committee sets measures to appoint top graduates in public sector

AMMAN — The Civil Service Bureau will identify the needs of public departments for personnel in various specialties and announce the vacancies in dailies, with the aim of attracting the top graduates of local universities, the Ministry of Public Sector Development said Tuesday.
Nasser Saaideh, head of the department of government excellence at the ministry, said applicants will sit for competitive exams and those with the highest scores will be referred to the Civil Service Council, which submits its recommendation to the Cabinet for appointment.
The measures, set by a special committee, are part of the government’s plan to appoint 150 top graduates in the public sector.
