AMMAN — Following several days of warm weather, a cold air mass is expected to significantly lower temperatures on Friday, bringing rainfall around the Kingdom, which could turn into thunderstorms in the country’s north and central regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Westerly brisk winds raising dust are forecast in the south and east of the Kingdom on Friday, and chances of rainfall are expected to gradually decrease during the night, according to the department.
On Saturday, the cold weather is forecast to continue, with a chance of light rainfall during early morning hours, especially in the north, with south-westerly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD predicted.
The JMD warned of slippery roads in areas that witness rainfall on Friday and low visibility in Badia areas due to dust, as well as the danger of brisk winds during the day.
The temperatures in Amman on Friday will see a high of 15°C during the day and a low of 12°C at night, while on Saturday temperatures are expected to range between 17°C and 6°C.
