Chinese gov’t delegation visits Madaba

AMMAN — A Chinese government delegation, representing a Chinese engineering company, paid a visit to the Greater Madaba Municipality with the goal of enhancing cultural, scientific and economic cooperation with several official bodies and civil society institutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
Madaba Mayor Aref Rawajih said the visit aims to produce an agreement and explore investment opportunities in Madaba to be shared with the Chinese business community. Talks covered investment opportunities in Madaba, with the guest delegation expressing keenness to create partnerships with the municipality, offer grants to service projects and take the investment opportunities in Madaba under consideration, as the city, around 30km southwest of Amman, is a popular tourist attraction in Jordan.
