AMMAN — The Consolidated Consultants Group on Monday held a ceremony at the Jordan Museum to pay tribute to architect Jafar Toukan, who passed away last year.

Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji said Toukan’s designs are seen all over the Arab world, noting that he designed the headquarters of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and the Jordan Museum.

Biltaji said GAM will launch a JD25,000 competition to design the Arab Army Square project in Abdali in honour of the architect.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Raad, the Chief Chamberlain, Princess Majida Raad and Princess Wijdan Hashemi, as well as ministers, professional association representatives and members of Toukan’s family attended the ceremony.
