Ceremony honours environmental activists

AMMAN — The Jordan Environment Society (JES) on Thursday organised a ceremony in Zaha Cultural Centre to honour a number of environmental activists in recognition of their excellence, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the ceremony attended by HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, JES President Ali Freihat said the honouring event falls within the activities and programmes of the society in recognition of environmentalist and distinctive women, pointing to the importance of overcoming difficulties facing women’s work in order to empower them. At the end of the ceremony, Princess Basma presented the plaques and letters of appreciation.
