Celebration of International Day of Forests in Ajloun

AMMAN — The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO) celebrated International Day of Forests in Ajloun on March 27th, according to a FAO statement.
Jordan representative of the FAO Nasredin HagElamin attended the event organised by the Jordan Environmental Society, along with the directors of the Water, Agriculture, and Forestry area directorates, and the Ajloun branch of the Jordan Environment Society. The event celebrated the sustained cooperation between the ministries of Agriculture, Water and Irrigation, and the FAO, the statement said.
“Jordan has given a great deal of importance to forests and planting trees... and has been mobilised to increase Jordan’s green areas and care for its environment,” the FAO representative noted.
