Cabinet simplifies procedures for investments

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday cancelled a list of 126 approvals required to register investment facilities, excluding security approvals, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The decision comes in line with the government’s plan to structure and simplify procedures for citizens and investors. The measure transformed the approvals into guidelines to be reviewed by investors prior to registration.
The Council of Ministers tasked the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and Companies Control Department to register the purpose of the investment directly without referring it to other governmental agencies.
