AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday passed the 2021 by-law for Jordan's honorary consuls abroad. The bylaw aims to improve consular services provided outside the Kingdom, keep pace with the trends and developments in the consular services and address loopholes in the previous by-law, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The bylaw is meant to identify mechanisms related to the establishment and regulation of the consulate, as well as the procedures of the appointment of the honorary consuls, among others. The Cabinet also decided to appoint Bassam Sarhan, as Chairman of the Jordan Telecommunications Regulatory Commission’s board of commissioners, and Nayel Adwan as vice-chairman.
