AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the administrative organisation system of the Foreign Ministry for 2023, which aims to improve the institutional operations within the ministry and provide further procedural flexibility.
The system also aims to restructure the roles of senior management within the ministry, in line with the amendments to the Jordanian diplomatic corps system, which introduced key positions such as the secretary general for diplomatic and foreign affairs and the secretary general for administrative and financial affairs, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Cabinet also gave the green light to a revised system of broadcasting and rebroadcasting licences and related fees for radio and television broadcasting in 2023. The decision aims to stimulate competition in the media sector and encourage investment by reducing applicable fees by up to 50 per cent.
