Cabinet approves amendments to Central Bank Law

AMMAN — The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved amendments to the law of the Central Bank of Jordan as well as an amended draft law on banks. The decision was taken during a Cabinet session chaired by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
At the same meeting, the premier was briefed on the outcome of a report on floods that occurred in the Jordan Valley on October 25. The Council stressed the need to develop an official plan to deal with such cases as soon as possible.
