AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved amendments to the accreditation standards of electricity connections at the expense of the “Fils Al Reef” fee. The amendments aim at improving services and simplifying the procedures of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
As per the amendments, new criteria were introduced, including offering electricity access to neighbourhoods with no less than five houses, stipulating that Fils Al Reef shall bear some JD3,000 of the cost, provided in case there is need for medium-voltage lines and power conversion stations.
The Council of Ministers also directed to amend the criteria related to supplying productive projects with electricity, provided that these projects employ Jordanian workers to approve the connection.
