Cabinet approves 2023 Civil Health Insurance Bylaw

AMMAN – The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the amended Civil Health Insurance Bylaw for 2023.
The amendments aim to expand the base of civil health insurance beneficiaries. The amendments introduced new categories to benefit from medical services, in exchange for fairly contributing to the health insurance fund, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a session headed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, the Council of Ministers also approved the Physiotherapy Practice Bylaw for 2023. The law aims to regulate the profession by specifying conditions for obtaining licences and the related procedures.
The Cabinet approved the legislative rationale for the draft of the Working Juveniles Protection Bylaw, prior to sending it to the Bureau of Legislation and Opinion to proceed with procedures aimed at strengthening the legislative environment and ensuring the greatest degree of protection for working children. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the legislative rationale for the amended Administrative Organisation Bylaw of Jordan News Agency, Petra, for 2023.
The regulation aims to keep pace with developments in the digital media field while strengthening plans focused on specialised journalism, specifically in the economic area.
The system also provides a legal reference to guarantee accuracy and optimal investment of human resources, by redistributing staff in the proposed organisational units to improve performance.
Under the bylaw, names of existing administrative units will be amended, other specialised ones will be launched and their functional connections will be reset to ensure proper work flow and the full execution of the required tasks.
The Cabinet also approved the plan to issue postage stamps for 2024.
