AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the mandating reasons for a draft by-law amending the by-law of electoral districts of governorate councils, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The by-law will be sent to the legal committee, in order to endorse it accordingly.
After studying comments and proposals on the by-law sent by citizens from across the Kingdom, the government said some of them were in favour of a broader and fairer representation of local communities, which is in line with the objectives of decentralisation.
