AMMAN — Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) President Hamdi Tabaa on Tuesday suggested establishing a Jordanian-British business council to develop bilateral economic relations.

At a meeting with British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden at the JBA, Tabaa expressed the association’s readiness to found the joint council in cooperation with its UK counterpart to attract more British investments into the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He added that London’s current investment volume in Jordan is $1.2 billion in the industrial, hotel and banking sectors. Oakden said British businesspeople are interested in investing in Jordan due to its attractive location for businesses, security and stability, according to Petra.
