AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Tuesday resumed construction on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the presence of Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh.
Construction on Tuesday began at the Tareq intersection, which links the Tareq neighbourhood with Hashmi Shamali, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The mayor noted that the decision to resume work on the BRT project stems from the need to make use of the current exceptional circumstances to raise the project’s completion rate.
Shawarbeh stressed the necessity of following preventive measures and ensuring that workers meet health requirements, adding that workers are required to wear masks and gloves and will be examined before entering construction sites by measuring their temperatures.
