Body of man washed away in flood waters found in pit in Madaba

AMMAN — The body of a man washed away in flood waters was found in a rainwater harvesting pit in Madaba, according to the Public Security Directorate.
PSD personnel, in coordination with search and rescue teams, carried out a search after receiving a report about a missing man in the governorate on Tuesday.
After combing an area of more than 20 square kilometres, search and rescue personnel found the body in the rainwater harvesting pit, the PSD spokesperson said in a statement. The PSD renewed its call on the public to avoid flood-prone areas and flooded streets while driving or on foot.
