Boat with no passengers sinks off Aqaba

AMMAN — A small six-metre boat with no passengers on board reportedly sank off Aqaba on Thursday, according to Director General of the Aqaba Company for Ports Operation and Management (ACPOM) Mahmoud Khleifat. The official said that the boat, made of aluminium, is usually operated by two people responsible for accompanying the main ship "Hamza 1". Khleifat noted that the boat was recovered with no damage. He said that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the boat's sinking, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
