AMMAN — Local banks have decided to postpone payments on loans granted to individuals for April, which will coincide this year with the holy month of Ramadan, the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) announced on Monday.
In a statement, ABJ Director General Maher Mahrooq said that the decision is part of the social responsibility of local banks and reflects their commitment to alleviating financial burdens on citizens during the fasting month, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
While affirming that there will be no fines for delayed payments, Mahrooq indicated that those who do not wish to have their April installments postponed should call their banks.
