Bangladeshi, Jordanian interior ministers discuss security, investment

AMMAN — Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya on Sunday met with Bangladeshi Minister of Interior Asaduzzaman Khan and an accompanying delegation to discuss bolstering bilateral relations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two sides focused on benefiting from Jordan's expertise in security fields in light of regional circumstances and efforts made by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and the security services in combating smuggling operations on the north eastern borders of the Kingdom.
The two sides also discussed the situation of Bangladeshi workers in the free development zones and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. Faraya referred to investment opportunities in the Kingdom, the facilities provided by Jordanian authorities to investors and providing a safe investment environment for them. Khan affirmed Bangladesh’s keenness to cooperate with Jordan and benefit from Jordanian expertise in dealing with drug cases.
