Azerbaijan embassy holds book launch ceremony

AMMAN — Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov expressed Azerbaijan’s eagerness to increase cultural, academic and economic cooperation with Jordan at a book ceremony launching the Arabic edition of “Shusha: The Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan”.
Salimov stressed the resolution of recent conflicts with Armenia, adding that peace talks are on the way, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the ceremony, hosted by the Middle East Studies Center (MESC), he noted that a peace deal between the two countries will lead to long-term and lasting peace, development and prosperity in the region.
MESC Director Jawad Hamad praised the efforts of the Azeri embassy in Amman and its role in enhancing Jordanian-Azeri ties.
Secretary General of the National Commission of Azerbaijan for Cooperation with UNESCO Seymur Fataliyev emphasised Shusha’s significance as Azerbaijan’s cultural capital and home to an Eastern music institute and several prestigious figures.
