AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Wajih Azaizeh and Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch on Sunday discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially in empowerment and training.
During the meeting, Azaizeh said that legislation related to Jordan's political modernisation came as a result of Royal directives to reach a "democratic" model and increase political and partisan participation, which is envisioned to enhance citizens' role in the decision-making process, especially women and youth, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Lynch commended the "deep-rooted" nature of Jordanian-Australian relations, which are based on mutual interests, stressing the importance of continuing joint programmes and projects.
