AMMAN — Israeli occupation forces’ violations at Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif and attacks on worshippers should be faced with the anger and unity of the Islamic nation to protect the mosque, Minister of Awqaf Muhammad Khalaileh said on Monday.
Khalaileh said that the Islamic world has the duty to defend the religious and historical right of Muslims at Al Aqsa Mosque, confront the plans of the occupation towards it, support the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites, and support the Jordanian role represented by the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in the holy city.
The minister also pointed out that the attempts of the occupation authority to change the existing historical status quo and impose a temporal and spatial division in the holy mosque is an attack on the right of Muslims to this holy site, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
