By JT - Nov 19,2016 - Last updated at Nov 19,2016
AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah and Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat on Saturday said that the ministries execute intensive monitoring campaigns on firewood shops, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The campaigns aim at ensuring that the shops are licensed and that the wood is obtained from legal sources such as the leftover of pruned trees. Owners of unlicensed shops will be referred to the concerned authorities, and the wood will be confiscated, the ministers added. Hneifat and Qudah urged the public to buy wood only from licensed shops.
