Authorities confirm no Jordanians were injured in Gansu earthquake

AMMAN — Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sufian Qudah assured that the Jordanian Embassy in Beijing has been in contact with Chinese authorities to ensure the safety of the Jordanian community in Gansu Province in China, which was hit by an earthquake on Monday. Qudah stated that the embassy communicated with a Jordanian citizen, registered on embassy lists and residing within the earthquake zone, who reported that she did not suffer any harm, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Qudah added that the Chinese authorities have confirmed that no Jordanians were injured.
