Authorities arrest fourth, fifth suspects in reported assault of PSD agent in Jerash

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) personnel on Saturday arrested the fourth and fifth suspects of the reported assault on a PSD agent in Jerash Governorate on Friday.

The two suspects had gone into hiding, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The PSD’s media spokesperson said that the person who filmed the assault and posted it on social media has also been identified and arrested, adding that the suspects will be referred to the judiciary.

The spokesperson noted that the PSD will ensure that the suspects receive due legal penalties, voicing appreciation to all the citizens who stood with the assaulted PSD agent and against acts that contradict Jordanian values.
