ASEZA, Royal Jordanian Navy ink memo on protecting marine environment

AMMAN — The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army/Royal Jordanian Navy (RJN) signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at protecting the marine environment and ensuring security and public safety in territorial waters.
ASEZA Economy Commissioner and Acting Tourism and Environment Commissioner Hamzah Hajj-Hassan and RJN Commander Col. Hisham Jarah signed the MoU, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hajj-Hassan said that all violations perpetrated by individuals, along with the owners, users or operators of naval vessels, will be prosecuted, in cooperation with other authorities.
