AMMAN — Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Chief Commissioner Nayef Al Fayez on Thursday stressed the readiness of King Hussein International Airport, border crossings, and customs centres to cater to travellers during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Fayez emphasised the importance of facilitating entry procedures and granting the required visas to non-Jordanian tourists visiting Aqaba to celebrate Eid Al Fitr.

During a tour of the airport's passenger facilities, Fayez said that the airport deals with six international airlines connecting it to 22 capitals and cities in Europe, and it also recorded approximately 228,000 passengers in 2022.

Fayez also inspected customs centres in Wadi Araba and Wadi Al Yatam, which receive most of the arrivals to Aqaba, calling for the crossing process to be facilitated for everyone, including trucks and cars entering Aqaba, improving the services provided to citizens and visitors, and facilitating their entry procedures without any delay or obstruction, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
