Army chief, US Africa Command leader discuss military cooperation

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti on Wednesday met Commander of the US Africa Command Lieutenant Gen. Michael Langley with the discussions focused on enhancing military cooperation and coordination to serve the armed forces of both countries.

Langley praised the modernisation and development process of the Jordanian armed forces which are in line with the regional challenges.

These meetings are part of the Jordanian Armed Forces General Command's ongoing efforts to enhance readiness, maintain the Kingdom's security and stability, and contribute to international peace and security, Petra added.

Also on Wednesday,  Huneiti visited the Medical Warehouses Directorate of the Royal Medical Services.

He was received by the director-general of the Royal Medical Services and the warehouse commander.

Hunaiti listened to a briefing presented by the Warehouse Commander about the tasks and duties they perform, methods of storing and preserving medicines and medical supplies and the mechanism for preparing and packaging the necessary needs for field hospitals, airdrops and surgical stations in support of the people in Palestine.

The briefing covered the preparation and packaging of medical equipment, devices, medicines, and surgical tools in record time to assist in natural disasters and wars in friendly and brotherly countries.

Hunaiti toured the sections and facilities of the warehouses, praising the high professionalism demonstrated by the personnel of the Medical Warehouses Command and their outstanding efforts in managing the strategic and safe stock of medicines to help ensure the safety of everyone.
