Army chief, Japan Self-Defence Forces delegation attend counterterrorism drill

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday received Chief of Staff and Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defence Forces General Koji Yamazaki, and an accompanying delegation.
Both sides discussed the latest regional and international developments, ways to enhance military cooperation and coordination, and means to strengthen bilateral relations to serve the interests of both countries' armed forces, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Huneiti and the guest delegation attended a military drill conducted by the King Abdullah II Special Forces Group's Special Unit 71.
The exercise included operations conducted by a counterterrorism team equipped with drones as well as Little Bird and Black Hawk helicopters. The exercise focused on combat operations in urban areas.
