Army chief discusses Eager Lion preparations with US general

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chief-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben on Monday met with Maj. Gen. Rick Mattson, the director of the US Central Command’s exercises and training division, and an accompanying delegation.
Discussions covered preparations to hold the “Eager Lion 2015” military drill, which opens on Tuesday and concludes on May 19, with the participation of 18 countries.
The exercise focuses on a wide range of offence and defence operations, including disaster relief, strategic communication and rescue operations.
