Army chief checks on agricultural project in Mudawwara

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday visited Al Bashaer Jordan for Agricultural Investments to follow up on a project launched upon Royal directives and aimed at benefiting residents of Al Mudawwara area, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The project will provide job opportunities for those residing in the area, enabling them to export crops and achieve self-reliance, Petra reported. His Majesty King Abdullah launched a series of agricultural projects covering 25,000 dunums in Al Mudawara where 25 wells would be used for irrigation.
The projects also include founding an agriculture association and providing it with needed machines and equipment to grow crops in total area of 1,000 dunums, cultivate livestock, and produce dairy.
