Army chief attends military sports festival

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday attended a military sports festival organised by the Northern Military Zone, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

Commander of the Northern Military Zone Brig. Gen. Sedqi Rawashdeh said that the festival was held to highlight physical fitness as a base for obtaining combat skills among military personnel.

 

Conveying His Majesty King Abdullah’s, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), greetings, Huneiti met with participants in the festival and expressed his pride in the efforts exerted by the zone to raise the efficiency and readiness of its personnel.

 

The army chief stressed the importance of sports in refining mental and physical capabilities to enable members of the JAF to carry out their military duties in an optimal manner
