AMMAN — The Arab Parliament on Saturday denounced the attack on the Jordanian ambassador's residence in Khartoum.

The Arab Parliament reiterated its full rejection of all forms of attacks on diplomatic missions, calling on Sudanese authorities to take the necessary procedures to provide full security to diplomatic missions, enabling them to perform their role amid the difficult circumstances in Sudan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

It also called on warring parties to commit to the ceasefire and create the necessary grounds to reach a political solution to the crisis.

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassem Mohamed Al Budaiwi expressed denunciation of the attack on the Kingdom's ambassador's residence, according to Petra.

Budaiwi called on all warring parties to commit to relevant international agreements to respect the sanctity of headquarters of diplomatic missions and protect them.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack and expressed Riyadh's rejection of all forms of violence and vandalism targeting diplomatic missions, calling for adhering to the ceasefire agreement and humanitarian arrangements in Sudan.

Also on Saturday, Qatar condemned the attack and reiterated the importance of providing protection to diplomatic missions and bringing the perpetrators to justice, Petra added.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry also stressed Doha's position that calls for an immediate halt to all hostilities in Sudan and resort to self-restraint.
