Anti-drug police foil suspected smuggling attempt

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) has arrested a number of suspected drug dealers and smugglers across the Kingdom, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said on Tuesday.
Among the cases were foiling a suspected attempt to smuggle 10,000 narcotic pills that were hidden inside nine photo frames.
AND personnel confiscated the drugs and arrested four suspects. In another case, AND personnel arrested 10 suspects and confiscated amounts of narcotics in Northern Badia. In Mafraq, AND agents raided two houses and arrested four suspects and seized 32,000 narcotic pills, according to the statement.
