AND seizes large amount of hashish, narcotic pills in northern Badia

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have implemented a new operation to arrest drug traffickers, in which they have seized large amounts of narcotic pills and hashish in the northern Badia, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Monday.

The spokesperson added that AND investigators have gathered the information of traffickers who transferred drugs from Ruweished to Mafraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Further investigations led to the identification of the narcotics’ hidden location in the northern Badia where AND personnel conducted a raid and arrested a suspect, the PSD official said. While raiding the location, security agents found 303 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 100,000 pills, the spokesperson said, stressing that security campaigns against drugs and drug traffickers are ongoing.
