AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Friday decided to reduce public transport fares in the capital by 10 per cent starting Saturday.
GAM called on all bus and service-cab operators to visit the public transport operations department at the Raghadan complex to get the new fare permits as of Sunday.
Taxi operators, meanwhile, have to visit technical warehouses accredited by the Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology to adjust their gauges to the new tariffs.
