Amman mayor discusses possible metro project with Chinese delegates

AMMAN — Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji discussed on Wednesday the implementation of a metro project in Amman with a Chinese delegation from the China Oriental International Construction Company.
At the meeting, Biltaji was briefed on transport projects implemented by the Chinese company, including railways, airports and seaports. Biltaji said a metro will resolve traffic jams witnessed in the capital as a result of the increasing population and the increase of vehicles.
The delegation voiced interest and readiness to study the possibility of conducting the project in cooperation with GAM.
