Ambassador hails Amman-Doha ties

AMMAN —The Kingdom’s Ambassador to Qatar Zeid Louzi on Thursday commended the development in the Jordanian-Qatari relationship.
In press remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), on the occasion of Qatar's National Day, Louzi said that Amman-Doha ties, recently, have noticeably improved in various fields, notably health, education, trade and military cooperation.
Highlighting the distinguished relations, the envoy said that thousands of Jordanian teachers are working in Qatar, in the private and public sectors, adding that thousands of Qatari students have graduated from the Kingdom’s universities.
Nearly 3,000 Qatari university students are studying in Jordan in pursuit of various degrees, he said. Referring to cooperation in the economic field, Louzi said that the volume of trade exchange has reached nearly JD442.3 million.
The envoy also highlighted the two countries' keenness to advance cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qatar’s steps towards comprehensive development, reflects strategic planning to boost all sectors, including infrastructure, education, health, culture and sports, he said, underlining Doha’s “extended” diplomatic relations and activities.
Lauding Qatar’s anti-COVID-19 efforts, Louzi said that Doha’s medical assistance has reached nearly 70 countries and international organisations worldwide.
