Ajloun Cable Car closes temporarily due to maintenance

AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group announced on Thursday a temporary shutdown of the Ajloun Cable Car for annual maintenance. The director of the Ajloun Cable Car Ezzedine Momani told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the closure is scheduled between May 27 and June 14. The cable car project has provided 100 permanent jobs so far, in addition to nearly 800 temporary job opportunities during construction. The project was inaugurated in June, 2023 with a cost of JD12.5 million and includes 40 eight-passenger cabins, with a route extending over 2.5 kilometres.
