AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat met on Thursday with a number of farmers from the Southern Jordan Valley District and discussed agriculture-related issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hneifat said the efforts of the government are focused on opening new markets to Jordanian produce to overcome the difficulties brought on by the closure of the Syrian and the Iraqi markets. He stressed the need to hire Jordanian labourers instead of guest workers.
