Agriculture Ministry receives JD1.5m worth of equipment under Gulf grant

SALT () — The Agriculture Ministry on Wednesday received agricultural equipment worth JD1.5 million, funded by the Gulf grant, during a ceremony in the Ain Basha area in Balqa.
The government spent 92 per cent of the Gulf grant during 2014, compared to 68 per cent in 2013, Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi said during the ceremony. Zu’bi said the equipment will enhance the ability of ministry cadres to perform their duties.
He also noted JD7 million from the grant is annually allocated to the ministry, covering a number of projects.
