Agriculture Ministry focusing on forest conservation

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat on Thursday checked on some forest areas that were destroyed in a fire in Ajloun and Jerash, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He stressed the importance of pursuing joint efforts to conserve forest lands, noting that the ministry will follow up with the agriculture directorates in both governorates to curb fires. Hneifat added that the ministry will crack down on illegal practices targeting forests and old trees.
