Agriculture Ministry to build 6,000 wells, 3 veterinary hospitals

AMMAN — The Ministry of Agriculture is moving forward to build 6,000 wells for water harvesting and three veterinary hospitals across the Kingdom, Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat said on Tuesday.
During his meeting with His Majesty’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs, Atef Hajaya, Hneifat highlighted the ministry’s plans to address the issue of malfunctioning wells in cooperation with the Water Ministry.
A ministry statement cited on Wednesday by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that talks overviewed the challenges farmers face in Badia, with Hajaya highlighting the demands of sheep and camel breeders.
