Adwan, Qaran elected Lower House assistant speakers

AMMAN — MPs Mahmoud Adwan and Ibrahim Qaran were elected as Lower House assistant speakers, receiving 34 and 31 votes, respectively, on Sunday.
A total of eight MPs were in the race: Abdul Qader Azaydeh with 28 votes, Mahmoud Adwan with 34 votes, Nawwaf Nueimat with 8 votes, Ibrahim Qaran with 31 votes, Raja Sarairah with 25 votes, Safaa Momani with 21 votes, Ibrahim Abul Sayed with 26 votes and Shaha Ammarin with 28 votes.
