AMMAN — Journalists and employees at Ad Dustour observed a one-hour work stoppage on Saturday, supported by the Jordan Press Association (JPA), as part of steps to pressure the Arabic daily’s management to pay them their outstanding salaries.
JPA President Tareq Momani urged the newspaper to pay employees’ salaries for the past four months as well as all their dues, stressing the association’s support for the staff.
The association called on all JPA general assembly members to join Ad Dustour’s employees in a demonstration on Sunday in front of the daily’s premises.
