Activists call for speeding up reform, fighting corruption

AMMAN/TAFILEH — Representatives of youth movements and political parties participated in a peaceful rally on Friday that started from Al Husseini Mosque in downtown Amman and ended at Al Nakheel Square in Ras Al Ain.
Participants at the rally called for speeding up reform, fighting corruption and safeguarding national unity.
A similar protest was held in Tafileh, with protesters also urging the government not to raise prices ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
They called for drafting a “modern elections law” that includes all political currents.
