AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) and the Yemeni embassy have discussed procedures to hold a Jordanian-Yemeni business forum in September in the presence of some 250 Yemeni investors.
An ACC statement said that chamber and embassy agreed to hold a consultative meeting in August between representatives of the Kingdom's commercial sector and Yemeni investors residing in Jordan to discuss any challenges and obstacles, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Sunday.
ACC President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq and Yemeni Ambassador Jalal Faqira went over the possibility of establishing a Jordanian-Yemeni business council to enhance cooperation between the two countries' business communities.
Hajj Tawfiq stressed the importance of developing economic and trade relations between the two countries and improving trade and building investment partnerships.
Faqira said that the Yemeni business community is interested in boosting its business and investment relations with Jordan and establishing business partnerships with many economic sectors.
